Geophysical report

Any mentioned solar flare in this report has a scaling factor applied by the Space Weather Prediction Center (SWPC). Because of the SWPC scaling factor, solar flares are reported as 42% smaller than for the science quality data. The scaling factor has been removed from our archived solar flare data to reflect the true physical units.

THE GEOMAGNETIC FIELD WAS AT UNSETTLED LEVELS UNTIL 04/0600UT. BRIEF ACTIVE PERIODS WERE DETECTED AT A FEW UPPER MIDDLE AND HIGH LATITUDE SITES AS WELL. THE FIELD DECLINED TO MOSTLY QUIET LEVELS THEREAFTER.
D. Stratwarm
STRATWARM ALERT/WEDNESDAY/STRATWARM EXISTS. A VERY INTENSE WARMING CONTINUES FROM THE BLACK SEA TO NORTHEAST EUROPE,OVER WHOLE SIBERIA AND THE ADJACENT ARCTIC.TEMPERATURE GRADIENT REVERSED BETWEEN 60N AND THE POLE AT 10-HPA AND ABOVE.
