Solar activity is low but on an increasing trend. The flux emergence regions that were noted yesterday have developed into NOAA AR 2352 (beta) and NOAA AR 2353 (beta-gamma). The latter has produced two minor C-flares in the past hours. Also NOAA AR 2349 (beta), in the Southern hemisphere, has produced minor C-class flares. We expect more C-class flares in the coming 24 hours. Geomagnetic conditions have been quiet in the past 24 hours and are expected to remain so. The solar wind is stable at 350 km/s and there is no CME or coronal hole influence in sight.
Today's estimated international sunspot number (ISN): 048, based on 10 stations.
