There are no active regions visible on the disk. Solar activity has been very low over the past 24 hours, no significant flares have been recorded. No Earth directed CMEs have been observed in past 24 hours. The greater than 10MeV proton flux remained at background levels over the past 24 hours.
Solar activity is expected to remain low.
The solar wind speed fluctuated between 430 and 550 km/s. The interplanetary magnetic field was predominantly directed away from the Sun (positive sector) and fluctuated between approximately 2 and 7 nT. The Bz component was mostly negative, fluctuating between -4 and +4 nT. Geomagnetic conditions have been quiet to unsettled over the past 24 hours, with the Kp index (NOAA) and the local k index (Dourbes) recording values between 0-3 and 1-3, respectively.
Quiet to unsettled conditions are expected to continue over the next 48 hours.
Today's estimated international sunspot number (ISN): 000, based on 18 stations.
