Bulletin

Solar activity has been very low. There is one small active region visible on the solar disk, NOAA AR 2748, with beta magnetic field configuration. Solar activity is expected to remain low.

No Earth directed CMEs in past 24 h. Solar protons have remained at background levels over the past 24 hours.

The solar wind speed is at 670 km/s with interplanetary magnetic field magnitude of 3 nT. The Earth is still inside the high speed solar wind from a positive polarity coronal hole. As a consequence of the high speeds (up to 750 km/s in past 24 h) , geomagnetic conditions have reached 6 in Kp and 5 locally at K Dourbes. Unsettled to active conditions can be expected for the next 48 h.

Today's estimated international sunspot number (ISN): 015, based on 22 stations.
