G2 geomagnetic storm watch

A moderate G2 geomagnetic storm watch has been issued by the NOAA SWPC for Monday, 22 January and Tuesday, 23 January. This is due to the expected arrival of a coronal mass ejection launched by a eruption south of sunspot region 3557 early yesterday morning.

The density of the solar wind is moderate (21.22 p/cm³)

The strength of the interplanetary magnetic field is moderate (17.42nT), the direction is North (12.5nT).

The Disturbance Storm Time index predicts moderate storm conditions right now (-76nT)
