Bulletin

Solar activity has been low, only one C-class flare in past 24 h: a C1.2 flare that peaked at 10:47 UT from NOAA AR 2539 (Catania 66 and 67). 6 active regions are visible on the disk, 4 of them with beta magnetic field configuration, C-class flaring is likely.

Geomagnetic conditions have been quiet. Solar wind speed is currently at 350 km/s with interplanetary magnetic field magnitude of 7 nT. A sector boundary crossing from positive to negative polarity was observed at ACE around 03:00 UT, marking the upcoming arrival of an expected fast speed stream from a coronal hole. Currently two coronal holes are in Earth- affecting position, one in the northern hemisphere and one at the equator, both have negative polarity. Up to minor storm conditions are expected for today and tomorrow.

Today's estimated international sunspot number (ISN): 094, based on 19 stations.
