Solar activity was low with X-ray flux remaining below C Level, no change is expected as there are no active regions on the visible solar disc. A new region rotating over the eastern limb has so far produced only B-class flares. A partial halo CME was seen at 03:36 UT by LASCO-C2 at the eastern solar limb, this event is backsided and will not affect Earth.
Geomagnetic conditions have been quiet to unsettled in past 24h due to the vanishing effect of a high speed solar wind stream from a coronal hole. Solar wind speed is at 450 km/s and the interplanetary magnetic field intensity at 4 nT. Quiet conditions are expected. An ALL-QUIET-ALERT is issued for the next 48 h. Current data suggests there is a slight possibility for aurora to appear at the following high latitude regions in the near future
Gillam, MB, Yellowknife, NTA lot of people come to SpaceWeatherLive to follow the Sun's activity or if there is aurora to be seen, but with more traffic comes higher server costs. Consider a donation if you enjoy SpaceWeatherLive so we can keep the website online!
