Bulletin

Solar activity was very low. No C flares or CMEs were observed. Solar activity is expected to remain very low (no C flaring) for the next 24 hours. Over the past 24 hours, solar wind speed measured by ACE decreased from about 400 to 320 km/s, while the magnitude of the Interplanetary Magnetic Field varied between 1 and 4 nT. Over the past 24 hours, geomagnetic conditions have been quiet to unsettled (K Dourbes between 1 and 3; NOAA Kp between 0 and 1). Quiet to unsettled geomagnetic levels are expected on August 1. Active to minor geomagnetic storm conditions (K Dourbes = 4-5) are possible on August 2 and 3 due to the expected arrival of a high speed stream associated with a positive coronal hole.

Today's estimated international sunspot number (ISN): 000, based on 19 stations.
