Bulletin

Solar activity was low. Beta region NOAA AR 2595 produced a C5.6 flare with peak time 05:47 UT on September 22. Low solar activity (C flaring) is expected in the next 24 hours. Solar wind speed measured by DSCOVR gradually decreased further from about 550 to about 465 km/s in the wake of a coronal hole high speed stream. Meanwhile the magnitude of the Interplanetary Magnetic Field varied beween about 2 and 7 nT. Quiet geomagnetic conditions (K Dourbes between 1 and 2, NOAA Kp between 0 and 2) were registered in the past 24 hours. Quiet to unsettled levels are expected on September 22, 23 and 24.

Today's estimated international sunspot number (ISN): 033, based on 19 stations.
