Bulletin

Over the past 24 hours solar activity has been very low. No significant flares have been recorded. Active Region (AR) 2670 (Mcintosh class:Hsx; Mag. type:Alpha) has been quiet. No Earth directed Coronal Mass Ejections (CMEs) have been detected. The greater than 10MeV proton flux remained at background levels over the past 24 hours. Solar activity is expected to remain low over the next 24 hours with a low probability of C-class flares. The solar wind speed has varied between 470 to 425 km/s over the past 24 hours. The total magnetic field strength has been slowly increasing from around 5 nT to 8 nT. The Bz component fluctuated around 0 nT but was mainly positive, ranging between -5 and +5 nT. Geomagnetic conditions ranged between Kp index 0-2 (NOAA) and local K index 1-2 (Dourbes) over the past 24 hours. Geomagnetic conditions are expected to be quiet.

Today's estimated international sunspot number (ISN): 012, based on 20 stations.
