Bulletin

Solar flaring activity is extremely low, without any flares reported during last 24 hours. We expect such a low activity to persist in the coming hours. There were no Earth directed CMEs reported during last 24 hours and the solar protons remained at the background level.

Solar wind speed is presently slightly elevated and it amounts about 420 km/s and the interplanetary magnetic field magnitude is about 7 nT. Somewhat elevated values are due to the arrival of the solar wind originating from the positive polarity equatorial coronal hole which reached central meridian on November 27. The geomagnetic conditions are presently quiet. One interval of disturbed geomagnetic conditions was reported by local station at Dourbes (K=4) at about 18:00 on December 01, while NOAA reported only values of, up to Kp=3. We expect quiet to unsettled geomagnetic conditions in the coming hours.

Today's estimated international sunspot number (ISN): 000, based on 09 stations.
