Bulletin

The visible side of the solar disc is presently spotless and accordingly there were no C-class, or even B-class flares for several days. We expect such a low flaring activity to persist in the coming hours. During last 24 hours there were no Earth directed CMEs and the solar protons remained at the background level.

Presently the solar wind speed is about 350 km/s and the interplanetary magnetic field magnitude is 3 nT. The geomagnetic conditions are quiet with one interval of unsettled conditions reported early this morning (both Dourbes and NOAA reported K and Kp values 3). We are expecting quiet geomagnetic conditions with possibly isolated intervals of unsettled conditions due to arrival of the solar wind originating from the patchy negative polarity coronal hole that reached central meridian on December 05.

Today's estimated international sunspot number (ISN): 000, based on 13 stations.
