Bulletin

The visible side of the solar disc is spotless for already several days. There were no C-class or even B-class flares reported and we expect solar flaring activity to remain very low in the coming hours. During last 24 hours there were no Earth directed CMEs and the solar protons remained at the background level. The solar wind speed is presently about 330 km/s and the interplanetary magnetic field magnitude is 2 nT. The solar wind originating from the patchy coronal hole that reached central meridian in the morning of January 16 might be expected at the Earth in the second half of January 20. Presently geomagnetic conditions are quiet to unsettled and we expect them to stay so in the coming hours.

Today's estimated international sunspot number (ISN): 000, based on 10 stations.
