Bulletin

Solar flaring activity is very low, without C-class or even B-class flares reported during last 24 hours. We expect such a low level of flaring activity to persist in the coming hours. No Earth directed CMEs have been observed in coronagraph data and proton flux levels were at background values. The Earth is presently inside the slow solar wind with the speed of about 350 km/s, and the interplanetary magnetic field magnitude is 4 nT. Rather large, equatorial coronal hole of negative polarity reached central meridian this morning. The associated solar wind can be expected at the Earth on March 18. The geomagnetic conditions are quiet and we expect them to stay so in the coming hours.

Today's estimated international sunspot number (ISN): 000, based on 15 stations.
