Solar activity report

Any mentioned solar flare in this report has a scaling factor applied by the Space Weather Prediction Center (SWPC). Because of the SWPC scaling factor, solar flares are reported as 42% smaller than for the science quality data. The scaling factor has been removed from our archived solar flare data to reflect the true physical units.

SOLAR ACTIVITY WAS VERY LOW. REGION 8167 (S26W09) PRODUCED A B7/SF WITH SEVERAL ERUPTIVE CENTERS AT 26/1554Z. REGION 8164 (N16W25), CURRENTLY THE LARGEST REGION ON THE VISIBLE DISK, REMAINED QUIET WITH AN 18 SPOT DAI BETA MAG CLASS. REMAINING REGIONS WERE STABLE.
IB. Solar Activity Forecast
SOLAR ACTIVITY IS EXPECTED TO BE VERY LOW TO LOW. THOUGH QUIET FOR THE PAST 24 HOURS, REGION 8164 MAINTAINS POTENTIAL FOR C-CLASS ACTIVITY.
