Geophysical report

Any mentioned solar flare in this report has a scaling factor applied by the Space Weather Prediction Center (SWPC). Because of the SWPC scaling factor, solar flares are reported as 42% smaller than for the science quality data. The scaling factor has been removed from our archived solar flare data to reflect the true physical units.

THE GEOMAGNETIC FIELD WAS QUIET TO ACTIVE.
D. Stratwarm
STRATWARM ALERT EXISTS STRATWARM FRIDAY MINOR WARMING OVER EUROPE/SIBERIA AND THE WHOLE ARCTIC AT 10 HPA CONTINUES, SLIGHTLY WEAKENING. TEMPERATURE GRADIENT REVERSED BETWEEN THE POLE AND 60N IN THE STRATOSPHERE ABOVE 50 HPA, BUT WEAK NEGATIVE AT 1HPA. MEAN ZONAL WIND AT 60N IN MIDDLE STRATOSPHERE WEAK WESTERLY, INCREASING; AT 1 HPA ZERO.
