Geophysical report

Any mentioned solar flare in this report has a scaling factor applied by the Space Weather Prediction Center (SWPC). Because of the SWPC scaling factor, solar flares are reported as 42% smaller than for the science quality data. The scaling factor has been removed from our archived solar flare data to reflect the true physical units.

B. Proton Events
The greater than 10 MeV proton event continues in progress. The shock passage produced a very slight enhancement of the particle flux levels.
C. Geomagnetic Activity Summary
The geomagnetic field was quiet to minor storm. A shock in the solar wind was observed on ACE data at 04/1422Z. After the shock, the solar wind displayed high speeds. The shock and subsequent enhanced solar wind flow are most likely to have been produced by the combined drivers from CME's out of Region 9393 on 2 April.
