Bulletin

Solar X-ray background flux has decreased to B2 level during the past 24 hours. We do not expect C-class flares, even if the Catania sunspot group 70 (NOAA AR 1660) keeps beta-gamma configuration of its photospheric magnetic field. The Earth is currently inside a slow (around 270 km/s) solar wind flow with weak (around 3 nT) interplanetary magnetic field magnitude. We expect quiet geomagnetic conditions in the coming hours. Tomorrow we expect the arrival of a fast solar wind stream emanating from a low-latitude coronal hole in the southern hemisphere, possibly resulting in active geomagnetic conditions.

Today's estimated international sunspot number (ISN): 038, based on 08 stations.
