The active region which was the most active the past days turned over de west limb and is now out of view. A new active region is ready to rotate over the east limb in the southern hemisphere. It produced C-flare this morning and yesterday. More C-flares are likely. The solar wind speed is slow: around 300 km/s. The total interplanetary magnetic field (IMF) is even below 4nT. Consequently, there are no geomagnetic disturbances. The Kp and local K Dourbes are below 3. There is no indication yet that this situation will change, except for a small northern coronal hole that passed already the central meridian. The fast speed of this coronal hole might arrive late today or tomorrow.
Today's estimated international sunspot number (ISN): 025, based on 08 stations.

Current data suggests there is a slight possibility for aurora to appear at the following high latitude regions in the near future
VorkutaA lot of people come to SpaceWeatherLive to follow the Sun's activity or if there is aurora to be seen, but with more traffic comes higher server costs. Consider a donation if you enjoy SpaceWeatherLive so we can keep the website online!
