Bulletin

Solar activity was very low with the X-ray flux remaining below C-level. The new region (Catania group 96, NOAA 2556) that rotated onto the disk from the east appears fairly simple and inactive, as do the two remaining other groups. Hence, quiet solar conditions are expected to continue with X-ray flux remaining below C level. No Earth directed CMEs have been observed in coronagraph data. Solar wind speed remained at elevated levels of around 600 km/s throughout the period. Total magnetic field slightly decreased to around 5nT with Bz variable. Solar wind is expected to gradually recover to nominal levels. Geomagnetic conditions were quiet to unsettled (both NOAA Kp and local K Dourbes 1-3) and expected to remain so.

Today's estimated international sunspot number (ISN): 049, based on 15 stations.
