Bulletin

Solar activity was low, no C-class flares in past 24 h. There is only one region visible on disk (Catania group 67, NOAA active region 2692) with beta magnetic field configuration. C-class flaring is possible, although not very likely.

Proton flux levels are at background values and are expected to remain so. No Earth-directed CMEs were observed.

Solar wind speed is at 460 km/s with interplanetary magnetic field magnitude of 5 nT. Geomagnetic conditions ranged from quiet to active in past 24 h (both locally and at planetary levels). The high speed solar wind associated with the low latitude extension of the southern polar coronal hole (negative polarity) is likely passing south of the Earth. Quieto to unsettled conditions, with isolated active periods can be expected for the next 24 h.

Today's estimated international sunspot number (ISN): 013, based on 13 stations.
