Bulletin

The solar flaring activity is still very low, and we expect such a low level of flaring activity to persist in the coming hours. Only one narrow CME was observed, associated with the prominence eruption (at about 18:00 UT on July 03) from the northern solar hemisphere, situated rather close to the edge of the northern polar coronal hole. During last 24 hours solar protons have remained at background level.

Earth is still inside the slow solar wind with the speed of 330 km/s, and the interplanetary magnetic field magnitude is presently 5 nT. One interval of the unsettled geomagnetic conditions, i.e. Kp=3, was reported this morning by local station at Dourbes. The geomagnetic conditions are presently quiet and we expect quiet to possibly unsettled geomagnetic conditions in the coming hours.

Today's estimated international sunspot number (ISN): 006, based on 14 stations.
