Bulletin

Current solar conditions are extremely quiet, with a low B-level background for the GOES SXR flux. There are currently two active regions on the Sun: NOAA AR 1765, close to the west limb, and a new region which emerged on June 11, close to the central meridian (Catania Region 98). There is a small chance of a C flare from AR 1765, but one should monitor the evolution of Cat. 98, as it is already complex enough to produce C flares. Current interplanetary conditions are quiet and the geomagnetic activity is low. We expect quiet geomagnetic conditions to persist for the next 48 hours.

Today's estimated international sunspot number (ISN): 020, based on 06 stations.
