Bulletin

Over the past 24 hours solar activity has been low. The B2.2 class flare peaked at 12:47 UT yesterday from the NOAA Active Region (AR) 2605. AR 2606 (Mcintosh class: Axx; Mag.type: Alpha) appears stable in HMI magnetogram imagery. No Earth directed Coronal Mass Ejections (CME) has been observed. One large scale filament currently located near the disk centre appears stable in USET H-alpha imagery. Solar Protons have remained at background levels over the past 24 hours. Solar activity is expected to remain low over the next 24 hours with a low probability of C-class flares. Solar wind conditions have been nominal with solar wind speed fluctuating around 360 km/s and total magnetic field around 4.5 nT with a declining tendency. The Bz component fluctuated around 0 nT, ranging between -2 and +3 nT. Geomagnetic conditions ranged between Kp index 0-1 (NOAA) and local K-index 0-2 (Dourbes) over the past 24 hours. Solar wind parameters are expected to remain at nominal values. Geomagnetic conditions are expected to be quiet to unsettled.

Today's estimated international sunspot number (ISN): 026, based on 12 stations.
